On June 28, 2010 the 14th Annual CNOA Survivors?
Memorial Fund (SMF) Golf Tournament was held at the beautiful
Newport Beach Country Club, home of the Toshiba Senior Classic.We
were fortunate to have a full field of 148 golfers. The players were
treated to a continental breakfast, lunch and a great dinner at the
banquet.
A tribute was held for the 9 officers lost in 2009. The officers
were also honored with Tribute Plaques with their photo, agency and
EOW placed around the clubhouse. Fullerton Detective Tommy De La
Rosa lost in 1990, wife Leslie and daughter Ashley led the Pledge of
Allegiance. Melody Massey wife of Culver City Sergeant Curtis Massey
was presented with her husbands Tribute Plaque. Tournament Sponsors
author Dean Koontz and wife Gerda attended the banquet. They were
presented with a special plaque for their generosity and support.
The William Garvey Award named after CNOA 1st Vice president Bill
Garvey who was lost in 2005 was presented to Assistant Chief Richard
Henriksen, Bureau of Investigations, San Bernardino County, in
recognition of his personal dedication to the Survivors Memorial
Fund. Gail Garvey and daughter Natalie were also in attendance.
The Corporate Partnership Award was presented to Bill Laudenburg.
All the golf brochures and posters are printed through Bills company
Union Press. Thank you to our Corporate Partners Sempra Energy,

Lastly, I thank all of the committee members and volunteers who
through their efforts made this a successful tournament.
All monies raised for the SMF goes straight to the families of
our fallen officers since the fund is run by volunteers. If you play
golf ,come and support this most worthy cause and if not please
