A friendship on pause for 63
years...
A
Navy man named John from Pennsylvania, reminisced about
his old buddy,
Hugh. The
time was
1947,
back when a good car was $1500 and a gallon of gas was 23
cents.
They
had a good time back then. John and Hugh were just
finishing their time in the Navy and
served in
the world's greatest war.
They
were good buddies and had grown close, as friendships tend to do in
tough times. Both were honorably discharged and went their separate
ways, vowing to stay in touch. But, as people and times change,
things happen and
John and Hugh lost touch. As
the months grew into years and the years into decades, John tried to
find Hugh and rekindle their friendship. Every opportunity he had,
he tried, but failed.
Now
in his 80's, John
told his
nephew this story. A story about a good friend and a time that was
difficult, but still simpler. His nephew, a 40 year old business man
with good connections, knew someone that could help. His nephew
called a Private Investigator;
not any investigator, but someone he trusted:
Justin Hodson, an Investigator with Gailey Associates, Inc. John's
nephew told Justin the story. Justin took the information, but he
knew how difficult these searches can be.
Justin used his resources to locate Hugh. To his
surprise, in twenty minutes Justin found Hugh Pipkin of AZ. Hugh had
been waiting for the call, knowing that they would talk again. John
and Hugh spoke for hours. The friendship was rekindled in seconds,
63 years later.
This
is 100% a true story. Get
